Turn the Ship Around!

It was interesting to read this book as someone in tech. I learnt a lot about how the US Navy works, and I imagine that the management style laid out in this book was very controversial at the time.

Some of the ideas will (hopefully) be familiar to people on engineering teams, such as blameless post-mortems after incidents. Others were new to me, like the distinction between empowerment and emancipation.

I would’ve liked some examples to be a little more concrete, but overall, the ideas in this book are very good! Well worth a read.
