Uses

Devices

• Computer: M1 Macbook Pro from 2021. Still going strong, and has a lot of life left!
• Phone: iPhone 15.
• Running watch: Coros Pace 3. Does everything I need as a casual runner, and the battery lasts ages!

Peripherals

• Keyboard: ZSA Moonlander. It took maybe a week or two to get used to a split keyboard but now I don’t want to go back. The RGB stays off.
• Mouse: Logitech Ergo M575 trackball. Together with the keyboard, this is ergonomic heaven.
• Monitor: Gigabyte M34WQ 43” ultrawide. It’s okay.
• Headphones: Sony WH1000-XM5 at home and Airpods Pro 3 on the go.

Software

• Browser: Firefox. The GOAT.
• Terminal: Ghostty is great, and finally has search.
• Editor: Neovim (with LazyVim) or VS Code, depending on the week.
• Notes: Obsidian.
• Color scheme: Mostly Gruvbox dark, though I’ve been experimenting with Flexoki too.
• Photo management: Immich. It’s really good!
• RSS: Self-hosted Miniflux, with the best posts saved to Linkding.

Services

• Email & file syncing: Proton.
• Static website hosting: Bunny.net
• Music: Deezer. Music streaming services are basically interchangeable to me, but this one is European and doesn’t recommend AI-generated music.
• DNS / adblocking: NextDNS. It’s a little annoying when I can’t easily unsubscribe from a mailing list because the tracking link is blocked, but otherwise DNS-based ad blocking has been good.

Everyday IRL

• Notebook: Leuchtturm1917 A5 dot-grid notebook.
• Pen: Muji 0.5mm gel pen. People always want to steal these when they borrow one so I have a box full of ‘em.
• Watch: Casio MQ24. Cheap, ubiquitous, and looks good.
