Breakneck: China's Quest to Engineer the Future

This was a very enjoyable read. I was expecting an academic work, but this is more of a broad argument with lots of personal anecdotes and descriptions of contemporary China. I didn’t mind that, but if you’re already quite familiar with China & the history of the CCP, then you only need to read like the first chapter to get the argument.
