Effort posts are getting harder and harder to find, that's why I've joined up some web forums for hobbies and have tried to prioritize putting in textual replies over 'likes' and adding content I wouldn't have in the past because "others have more interesting things to say"...at this point I am posting in the "you must be truly desperate to come to me for help" Loki meme spirit - whatever I have to say is not as interesting as the imagined internet netizen, but that netizen is getting sucked into TikTok and drowned out by LLMs, so I might as well post something to push back the Pale a bit longer. Thanks again for a good effort post blog post.

What do you think about the alternatives like Gopher and Gemini? It might be a good place to open new isolas; it's hard to monetise and it's kind of gated for the non technical people...
